TO REIMAGINE

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, ReImagine means to imagine again or anew; especially: to form a new conception of: Re-Create

Isn’t this what we tend to do every year as one ends and a new one begins.  The end of the year brings with it reflection.   Reflection of what was and what could be. I want to help you see what can be! I want to help you dare to dream again.

Having a an empty nest can leave a mom stuck! Stuck in worry and loss.  Stuck feeling as if she has just lost the best job she has known for 18+ years.  As the word “reimagine” keeps popping up, I decided to make you, my fellow moms, a video message about what it means.  Please watch and enjoy.  Although it is a bit longer than usual (8 minutes) I promise it is worth the watch.

THREE CORE QUESTIONS TO START THE PROCESS OF REIMAGINING

1.What comes naturally to you?

Some people are always helping people, relationships or emotional issues. Some people are always organizing or fixing things, being out in nature, reading books, problem solving, being physical active, taking classes. So what do you do naturally just being you?

2.What would you do if you knew you could not fail?

Assume money, time and energy aren’t an issue. You absolutely will succeed. Would you work or not work? Would you go back to school? Would you write a book?

3. Who are the people you admire?

  • Who are the people that you admire most, and why?
  • What aspects of yourself do you see in them?
    • “The me I see in them is______________.”
  • Write about some times in your life when you felt satisfied.
